The little Circus weekly cartoon showed a young child proudly explaining his existence to other children. He said, “you grew in your Mommy’s belly. I grew in my Mommy’s heart!”

I instantly teared up, grateful for that absolute truth. However, even yet today, as painful as it is to swallow, I am reminded that is not always enough! For many children of adoption, the issue of abandonment is with them every day of their lives.

This book can be a resource to help children and adults during and after the process to recognize that, “blood is not always, thicker than water!”
